Men’s League at
Rules Sheet
1. League will take place on Tuesday afternoons, beginning at 4:30pm.
2. Season consists of 11 weeks (2 position nights, 1 rain date, and 1 fun night included).
3. On the first night of league, handicaps will be established after your round. (Please post actual exact score for each hole on scorecard. Buz will adjust all gross scores).
4. All scores over a triple bogey will be reduced to a triple bogey for handicapping. The ending total score for each player is their “Adjusted Gross Score.” (ie: If a player makes a quadruple bogey and shoots a 50, after adjusting their quad, the player’s end result for their adjusted gross score would be 49).
5. No handicap will exceed 18.
6. Play will be from the Black tees.
7. On a player’s first night, handicaps will be calculated by taking 80% of a player’s adjusted gross score. Their match points would then be calculated after their round is completed.
8. After the first night, handicaps will be determined by the average of scores until there are 5 scores posted for a player.The handicap will then be calculated by the average of their last 5 scores.
9. In each match, 2 points will be awarded to the player winning the most holes, and 1 point will be awarded to the player with the lower net score. Both holes won and low net score will be determined using handicaps.
10. After all 4 players from each team are finished playing, add up all 4 net scores from each team and compare the total to the opponents’ 4 net scores. The lower total of the 2 is awarded 6 points.
11. Try to match comparable players against each other.
12. A match is considered an official match when all teams have completed 5 holes of play. If a rain out occurs before all players can complete 5 holes, all matches are considered cancelled.
13. Ball will be played up in your own fairway and down everywhere else. Course conditions may dictate winter rules on occasion. If this is the case, it will be posted prior to teeing off.
14. Lost ball will be played as stroke and distance. (ie: If you think your ball is in the no mow area, or not findable, hit a provisional ball.
15. Out of bounds is played from original spot plus 1 stroke penalty. (Stroke and distance).
